M20 2PIN Connectors and 3PIN connectors model are the same,
the length is about 88.5mm,(This is the length of the male and female connectors when assembled),
the head width is 20.5 mm(Suitable for environments with a width of 20.5 mm or more).
As you can see, there is a silicone ring fitted at the end of the connector to prevent water from entering,
It is made of silicone, and because silicone grommets are flexible, placing them at the end of the connector provides excellent protection for the cable while also effectively preventing water from flowing in from the outside and entering the connector, thus avoiding a short circuit caused by water contact.
Since silicone grommets are manufactured according to specific dimensions—that is, they are produced in fixed sizes—if a cable is to pass through the grommet and successfully connect to the connector, it is necessary to select the appropriate grommet model.
For this connector it can support the cable outside diameter is between 4.5mm-9.5mm, if below 4.5mm the connector doesn't secure the cable properly, water may enter the connector, leading to a short circuit; and if over 7.5mm the cable cannot be inserted into the connector, so the connector cannot be used to connect the cable.
If the wire diameter is between 4.5 and 9.5 mm, how should you choose the right silicone ring?
You need to measure the outer diameter of the cable to be used with the connector, and then select the appropriate size of silicone ring based on that measurement.
